Introducing "MorsePower" . a blog about Morse Code & CWCOM - Morse over the internet !.


Hello, this is a blog about cwcom and all things to do with Morse Code.


.....Download the CWCOM  installer from

 Scroll down the page a bit,
 on the right hand side, 
 is a small window        "WINDOWS EXECUTABLE FILES"
 
    Click on the          Windows Executable   2 files,
 
 and then choose   1.5 ( latest & last version )
                or 1.47 (the earlier version.)

but click on the blue DOWNLOAD button...

2. Click on “Download” on the left hand menu panel

3. Scroll down to this line ….

Download:
    To download the latest CW Communcator release click HERE



4.  Click on the red word “HERE”…..

5.    cwcom download panel….    




Click  “Save File”… after short time it will be ready to “install”
Follow guidelines to install,….  



IMPORTANT NOTE.....

MAKE SURE THAT YOU USE THE CORRECT

"Remote Details"    "Address" box,  

 on the "Connect" window...

the Address box should read ...... > 


  [ morsecode.dyndns.org ] 

 not   [mrx.ham-radio-op.net]




After install.... click the icon to  "open" cwcom.... then click on the "world" icon next to the black square in the top left corner.... this is the "Connect" window...

 You can edit the "Address" window....

CWCOM is about using the ancient art of Morse Code to communicate around the world, on the NEW internet... 

Morse communication was the original internet. using "landline" or undersea cables to connect distant places.. it eventually moved on to the radio waves crossing the watery waves with no cable connection... this became known as "wire less" communication and was a big factor in the saving of many lives since the RMS Titanic was sunk by an iceberg on her maiden voyage to the USA in 1912..

  4. Another attempt at replying.

    There is no specific version of cwcom for LINUX... however I can assure you that it does work on LINUX and MAC machines... Please read page 13 ( LINUX ) and page 14 (MAC Machines).. for full step by step instructions.
